Here’s a very cool book that not only teaches readers about instruments and how they make their sounds, but how important it is for them to play together. This would be a great book to read while Googling the sounds that each instrument makes. It’s also geared at slightly older elementary readers as there’s a lot of detail, but I think it’s a great introduction to some of instruments kids will be able to choose from in band.
